*Click on defragment & once your system is defragmenting it may take a long time the longer.
*Fianlly restarting your computer so changes come into effect.

It takes a very long time to defrag with the Windows defragger if the drives have never been defragged and fragmentation is high. Sometimes the task also hangs. I prefer the third party tools that can be both set to defrag automatically or run manually/scheduled.
